Buon giorno
I am always amazed at the pace Italians move here. I brought in a copy that I needed laminated so was the only one in the shop bright and early. The clerk in his broken English advised it would take 20 minutes. No problem...I will just go next door to the art store to buy paper. I love that art store...has everything including oil paints that have been banned in North America because of their lead contents. So 25 minutes have passed and I wander back to the ever so busy now copy store. I make my way through 10 people to get to the counter. Ah...I see my copy sitting on some machine....not laminated. I wait...I wait...and I wait...very patient. And then I wait some more. It is interesting that if you speak Italian you get preferential service. Watching the winks and the deals and the chuckling was quite entertaining. Finally I see another fellow who I know speaks English and ask if the laminator is working and he says sorry not the small one...only the large one. So am I to wait all day until someone else comes in that needs laminating??
I ask for my copy back and rush off to school. Another day of exercising patience...by the time I come home I will be the most patient human on this planet. Till next time ... ciao mi amici...buona giornata!
