Time to deal with mold.

Buon giorno mi amici....
I am not sure if I had mentioned that this city has problems with mold.  I think that part of the issue is that it is very humid and when it rains...nothing dries.  I am not certain given the cost of electricity whether most home owners consider dehumidifiers and air conditioners.  Most homes do not have clothing dryers and one is fortunate to find a rental with air conditioning.  I am fortunate that I have large windows that open and two are screened...although last evening I had a war with the mosquitos.  I think they won ... this morning my face was full of bites. I am surprised I actually fell asleep.  The mosquito racquet is working well.  My last resort will be a RAID plug in.

I am listening to chum fm and wow you all are having beautiful hot weather.  Summer sure has come early in Toronto.  Today I went to the hardware store to buy caulking silicone for around my tub.  I think it is time.  Today I truly missed Home Depot where you have an abundance of selection.  I found something ...one of three choices..other two were glue things and it is called pura silicone
by Teknica....the tube is the size of a small toothpaste tube.  I am afraid to use it now because I am not sure.  The packaging says the following:

Teknica's silicone is an elastic high quality seal ideal for cracks and joints of all kinds of materials:  glass, ceramics, metals, lightalloys, beton, wood, plastic, rubber, excellent for sanitary fixtures, boats cars, casings, uvr resistant...it is absolutely waterproof.

I think I need confirmation that it is mildew resistant ... this is the need for fixing the caulking around the tub.  Now the question is...should I give it a try?
Maybe I should go to another bigger place to see what they have and write it all down in Italian.  Ciao!
