I discovered a while ago that it was much easier to download my pics on Facebook so if you wish to see more please visit Anka Artiste on Facebook.  Last week we visited Arrezzo, Fiesole, and Pisa which was quite something.  Looking back at our little trips I have been trying to think of items that might be of interest to you.  Firstly, Tuscany elected Enrico Rossi as their new regional president.  I don't know much about Italian politics but the paper indicates that he is one of the last bastions of the 'red' left in Italy.

During our daily visits to other cities and towns we visited quite a number of churches.  Each has its own uniqueness and beauty.  The art is incredible.  Last Tuesday evening we went to the church on the hill next to Piazza Michaelangelo to listen to the monks practice their Gregorian chants.  It was quite remarkable.
The exercise walking up the hill was great too after all the pasta and wine.
This week has been beautiful and I finally began some work in the garden and my in-house gardener (sorella) helped me with the planting of my herbs and provided some advice as to what will thrive in my precious little space.  I am grateful to have this terrace as it is a rarity here in Florence.
