Internet in Italy

The internet in Italy is quite something.  After paying so much for a plug in modem I had decided to go the route everyone else does and bought a USB stick that gives you 100 minutes and since it was WIND's 100th birthday I got it for 10 euros a month for 3 months.  The only thing is ... if the minutes run out you have to go and recharge the phone number and this can be done two ways....one you find a Wind store or two you go to a Tabachi store.  Unfortunately, mine ran out on a Saturday night and both those stores are closed on Sundays throughout the city.  Hence, I have not had access to internet for some time however I am back now.  So I will need to play catch up with some stories.  Also my computer is acting funny and won't allow me to post pics on this blog, however, I will keep trying.

The temperature is ridiculous.  For those of my friends who can't take the heat....this is not a time to be in Florence.  Yesterday climbed to 36 and it was muggy.  We did some sightseeing and leather shopping and surprisingly were gone from 8am to dinnertime at which time we thought we better do laundry.  In the laundromat I sweat more than I ever do at the spa sauna.  I don't mind though but sure would love it if the pounds melted off.  Unlikely.
