Buona notte
Well I had one of those serendipitous moments where I received an invite to go to the countryside for dinner. I discovered that the couple inviting lived up on the mountain and had the most spectacular view. She is an american and he is an Italian born in Florence. Very wonderful and hospitable couple. We agreed that we would cook for them given my friend is handy in the kitchen. We created an amazing meal of chicken thighs stuffed with mushrooms, a delicious delicate fish, tomato and olive oil with pici pasta and a delicious green salad topped with buffala cheese. I made a yummy vinegarette with the outstanding balsamic I found. Their home was beautiful and very typical Italian and the house was built in the 1400s.
I took some pictures to share of their view. There is a count that lives on the hill in a castle and he has a vineyard. He sells wine during the week and unfortunately was closed yesterday. A lovely time was had by all with sharing of stories and learning about the Italian culture. I discovered the best pizza is found in Napoli, Italy. Well I have had an intense day at school so will sign off for now and will leave you with a few pictures. Arrivederci.
