It seems like forever since I posted you an interesting event. I have a friend visiting from Canada whom I have known for a long time. He is here until Sunday and had an interesting start to his vacation. He missed his connecting flight from Frankfurt to Florence and took longer to get here. Should have booked Air France! We decided to head to Siena on Saturday....so beautiful and yes I will add photos for you. Siena is unique and small and the Nannina Patisceria has the best coffee and yummy desserts. The bus ride is about an hour and 1/2 and is south of Florence. The view of the countryside was so beautiful. We had some excellent pizza...bought some great wine...and I think I gained five pounds. I found some amazing balsamic vinegar in a wine shop there. The main square was setting up for a bike rally. Weather was awesome...warm and sunny.
