Just discovered cell phones are banned in Italy.

Grazie M. for your information regarding cell phones.  This young woman should have gotten a fine but since she was so cute the polizia would probably have given her a small warning.  I forgot to mention also that one needs to be aware of how many pigeons live in Florence.  It is advisable not to stand directly under an overhang of any building because one never knows when a pigeon will poop on your shoulder and one did on my clean coat just before I got on the bus to Ikea.  I notice also that pigeon is on the menu of some restaurants.  I remember a childhood memory long ago when I was about 7 and I could not understand why my father kept pigeons in the basement....oh my...could we have been eating them.  I think I might turn vegetarian soon.  Hope you all had a wonderful day...it is 19C today and the sun was fabulous.  Tourists have flocked to the city.  Now you have to fight them to stay on the sidewalks.  Arriverderci.
