Have you ever packed then upacked then packed then upacked before a long trip?

Contemplation is a good thing particularly when one is packing for an extended period...like a year!  With the restriction of a two bag allowance it has become increasingly difficult to determine what to pack, how to pack and each time the piece of luggage hits the weight scale there are a couple more pounds.  So then the dilemma becomes...do I take and pay extra or is it discard time.   I have reorganized my clothes 3 times.  Thank goodness I am not contemplating taking my kitchenware.  Travelling can be an interesting phenomenon.  Given today's climate with how people access airports is just an indication of how much more fun it will be.  I am focussed today that there are no line ups with the Airline.  Internet has also been a great source of information.  I sat pondering how I was going to get from Terminal F to Terminal G in Paris when I arrive tomorrow morning.  I was able to print out a map with directions!  Now that is very cool.  


My landlord has been very helpful in providing me information and resources as well.  I discovered that the recycling program in Florence is quite unique.  They don't have road side pickup like we do, however, there are large bins on the street...or located thereabout where people discard their garbage.  Given we are avid recyclers here in Toronto I was curious as to how their system worked.  Others would be more interested in shopping, fashion and food although I am, I thought it would be a good idea to figure out routine logistics of life.  Now if I can just master the language I think I am all set.


I am continually exploring this blog set up to determine a simple and workable way to download pics without altering the text.   I may not have a pic with each post so be patient...they will come.  Maybe one day I shall figure out how to create a slideshow.  But
first I am focussed on free WiFi.
