Buon giorno
On the way to anywhere I pass this Synagogue everyday. The picture doesn't do it justice. The architecture is beautiful and it is fully encased in an electric wired twelve foot fence. I took the pic through the fence. Also to the right in the next picture there is a window where a guard stands watching most of the day...today he must have been taking a pee break so I got a chance to exercise my quick shutter.
I went to the market today and could not stop smiling. It was massive and on the outside was all the vegetable and fruit farmers and in the building, about the size of St. Lawrence market there was the meat and fish vendors with a grocery store and bakery and two or three cheese shops. The meat here would put Brunos and Pusateri's to shame. The way Italians prepare their meat is exquisite. Truly a work of art. I am so excited to try the lamb. I bought some veggies and some other things like a warm vest, a laundry hamper and another pair of slippers that hopefully will fit. I didn't take pictures because I was in shock and my jaw must have been open the whole time because when I was walking home my jaw locked. Anyhow when it is less crowded I will take photos. One thing is for sure...I love that market. I will never buy chicken in the supermarket again. Saturdays are extremely busy with the Florentine locals. Will see you soon. Saluti!

So Awesome Anka:
Thank you for allowing all of us to experience some of Italy. I love your kitchen. I imagined it much more rustic. I guess all I had to compare it to was under the tuscan sun. So if you would not buy a supermarket chicken, where would you buy it in Canada. hugs.

It is such a privilege to see this kind of architecture every day. That what we miss here. That what inspires and shapes the taste of people there. That is why French Academies used to send their best students to Italy.
Very impressive Anka
