Saturday shopping....decided to buy a new leather purse.

Come stai?
I have decided that it is much easier to find things in the daytime.  For some reason I always get lost in the dark on these streets in Florence.  I need to fine tune my focus from here on in.  Today I bought a purse.  Okay don't look so shocked...I know I have the ugliest purse and not fine leather shi shi Italian ones.  Well guess what...now I own one hahaha.  I must say that the one I borrowed from my daughter has been extremely useful and I love it...but I look to much like a tourista.  Maybe I'll blend in a bit better (smiling).  Now I need to get my red shoes from home.  I knew I should have packed them!  The leather purses here are incredible.  I got a discount on this one and paid only 30Euro.  I am sure at home it would be over a hundred bucks.

I decided that since my couch is lime green stripes...then my colour scheme for my apartment will be lime green and dark blue...Ikea here we come.  No joke I found an Ikea store here and it is about 30 minute walk from my house.  Will definitely bring my little buggy with me when I go next Saturday.  I would go today but I need to work on cleaning and my Bargue.  I know some of you are itching to see what I am working on.  Today I found chum fm 104.5 on the web...I didn't download enough music on my laptop before leaving and I although I love Bocelli...I need a break.  Still haven't figured out how to use the washing machine so I handwashed in the tub two clothing items I found at the market...a nice fuzzy and warm housecoat and a flanned night dress with long sleeves totalling 14euro.  I love bargains.  My lime green vest that looks like a north face only cost me 5 euros.   Regardless of the bargains it is so easy to whistle through those euros.  I picked up some frames for my Bourgereau prints and am very very happy now.  Not that I wasn't before but transforming this apartment to reflect my tastes has been fun and exhilerating...can't wait to see what Ikea here has for sale. I went to lunch at the Mammamina restaurant which is located in the center where they sell all the leather...although I purchased my purse in a leather store.  I ordered minestrone soup and it was delicious.  The waitress was so cute..like a pixie doll and she spoke Italian but when I struggled with the menu she began to speak...in an English accent!  When I arrived home this evening I thought...this is it.  I searched the youtube for lessons on line.  It is not bad.  I will learn this language...more determined than ever.  I even looked at Italian courses (very pricy) but an option.  The restaurant was buzzing with Italian...a good sign to note this one.  Actually it was the one where my sister and I had lunch on our last visit here.  Per me va bene questo tempo. (The weather is fine for me) Today was sunny and milder.  A piu tardi.  caio.
